The team will train from October 11 to October 15 at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi before the Shaheens fly for Oman on October 16.
This will be the first time Abdul Samad, Ahmed Daniyal, Yasir Khan, and Zaman Khan will represent Pakistan Shaheens. In the just-finished Champions One-Day Cup 2024–25, Samad scored goals with a strike percentage of 122.88 while playing for Markhors.
Ahmed Daniyal, who was playing for the Lions, took ten wickets. Stallions were represented by Zaman in two and Yasir in four matches, respectively. Eight teams will be competing, split into two groups of four teams each. Every game will be played at Muscat’s Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
Afghanistan “A,” Bangladesh “A,” Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka “A” makeup Group A. The reigning champion Pakistan Shaheens is placed in Group B with India “A,” Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
On October 19, the Haris-led Shaheens will play their debut match against the previous year’s winners, India ‘A’. The host, Oman, will be the Shaheens’ opponent in their second competition match on October 21. The UAE will be their opponent in their final group match on October 23.
The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, set for October 25. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, October 27.
